The Red Season begins…

Tomatoes, finally. Some from my garden but most from the farmers’ market. I have now done tomatoes three or four times. I canned some in preparation for my presentation at the Orange County Fair and some for practice for a presentation at the Great Park in Irvine. The biggest batch was the 80 pounds I turned into marinara last Monday! I still want to do some more plain tomatoes and pizza sauce.
